OUR STORY

About — A story of transmission, generosity and light

For our beloved Mother

Suzanne bat Simy

We are brothers and sisters who grew up in a family deeply attached to Jewish values and traditions. We were fortunate to be accompanied by institutions that knew how to nurture that small spark present in each of us, until Torah, the mitzvot and the bond with the Creator became a true compass in our lives.

At the heart of this story was our beloved mother Suzanne bat Simy.

She was a woman for whom giving came naturally. Giving of her time, her energy, her attention, but also passing on, encouraging and bringing others closer with simplicity. Her home was always open. She loved to welcome, to gather, to share and to bring joy. Sometimes a smile or a few words from her were enough to give someone back the desire to move forward, to believe more, or simply to find a little light again.

She was deeply attached to her home and to her children, whom she loved, protected and surrounded with immense strength.

Even today, when we meet someone who knew her, their face often changes as they speak of her. The memories come back, and the emotion too. And we then understand that a person can continue to act in this world through all the good they have sown in it.

It is in this spirit that we decided to create this association for the elevation of the soul of Suzanne bat Simy: not only to keep a memory alive, but to turn that memory into concrete actions.

Our first mission is simple: to help families going through a difficult period, to allow them to fill their table, to find a little peace of mind again and, above all, to remind them that they are not alone.

A food basket, a Shabbat meal, a one-time help may seem like small gestures. Yet behind each of them there is a family, children, a dignity preserved and sometimes simply a smile that returns.

We also wish this association to become a place where everyone can give meaning to their gesture. For the elevation of the soul of a departed loved one, for a healing, a success, a deliverance, to thank Hashem, to draw closer to the Creator, or simply to fulfil a mitzvah and do more good around oneself.

Every donation, every help and every action can thus take part in a chain of merits: for the elevation of the souls of our departed, for the merit of all the souls of the Jewish people, for the protection and success of Am Israel, and so that more light, solidarity and kindness may flow among us.

We invite you to take part in this story.

There is no need to do something immense. Everyone can take part according to their means. Because when several small lights come together, they can shine very far.

Together, let us keep giving.

Together, let us keep passing on.

And together, let us keep this light alive.

In loving memory and for the elevation of the souls of

Suzanne bat Simy,

Marcelle bat Simy,

Denise bat Suzanne,

Sultana bat Esther,

and for the elevation of the souls of all the departed of Israel.
